OUR WHY
We imagined a place where emerging writers and artists could grow, take creative risks, and develop their work without fear of failure. New Spark was built to be that space—a supportive community where new voices can take shape, collaborate, and bring their ideas to life, connecting different creative circles through stories of joy, belonging, and hope.
We are building a community of creators in the heart of New York City through collaborative hangouts, group writing sessions, concerts, happy hours, original content and more. This is artists supporting artists - together.

A successful collective begins with clear artistic goals and a commitment to mutual support, constructive feedback, and risk-taking.
Regular meetings, writer’s rooms, and peer-review sessions create accountability and diverse input. Rotating leadership roles can keep the process dynamic.
Inviting local artists, educators, and patrons to readings or staged excerpts builds a supportive audience network and potential funding partnerships.

Mitch Beard
Marketing/Branding/Production
Mitch is a versatile writer and producer with a passion for storytelling that inspires and entertains. He brings a wealth of experience in content creation and marketing, having worked on various projects that blend creativity with strategic vision. At New Spark Entertainment, Mitch leads our marketing and branding efforts, ensuring our mission resonates with a broad audience.
Laney Gold
Creative Vision and Strategy
Laney is a New York-based actor, singer, and dancer, originally from Spokane, WA. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Belmont University. Her professional credits include the 1st national tour of Tootsie the Musical, as well as performances in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Newsies, Spamalot, and West Side Story. Beyond performing, Laney enjoys playing soccer, teaching voice lessons, reading Agatha Christie novels, playing the ukulele, and exploring her passion for writing and composition.
Delaney Jackson
Communications and Events
Delaney is a versatile musical theatre performer, excelling as a singer, actor, and dancer. She brings a spirited and dedicated approach to her craft, continually seeking new opportunities to share her talents. In addition to her performance skills, Delaney is committed to fostering a supportive environment for fellow artists, contributing her organizational and communication expertise to New Spark Entertainment
